How We Run a GenAI Project, From Kickoff to Launch

What actually happens between saying yes and going live? A transparent look at how a GenAI project runs, week by week.

Buying software services can feel like a leap of faith. You hand over a problem and hope something good comes back. We prefer to make the process visible. This is how a typical GenAI project runs, so you know what to expect before we start.

Stage 1: Discover

We start with conversations, not code. We learn what problem you want solved, who will use the result, and what success looks like in numbers. We look at the data and systems involved and flag risks early, such as access, quality, and security.

You leave this stage with a short written scope: what we will build, what we will not, how we will measure it, and the timeline.

Stage 2: Build and test

We build in small steps and show working software often, usually every week. You see real output on your own data, not slides.

  • A first prototype early, so feedback shapes the rest.
  • Testing against real examples you provide.
  • Safeguards added as problems show up: review steps, limits, and fallbacks.
  • Regular check-ins to adjust priorities.

Stage 3: Launch

We connect the solution to the tools your team already uses, release it to a pilot group, and watch how it performs. We train the people who will use it and hand over clear documentation.

After launch

A launch is the beginning of learning, not the end. We review the results against the numbers we agreed at the start, fix what needs fixing, and discuss what to build next. Many clients continue with a light monthly arrangement to keep improving the system.

What we ask of you

  • One person who can make decisions and answer questions.
  • Access to the data and systems involved.
  • A small group of real users willing to give honest feedback.

Clear scope, frequent demos, and honest measurement are what keep projects on track. If you would like to talk through your idea, send us an enquiry and we will start with a short scoping conversation.
